Trinity Episcopal Church, Rocky Mount, Virginia is an inclusive, welcoming, open and warm parish, stressing the unconditional love of God through Jesus Christ for all of humanity. All baptized persons wishing to receive communion are welcome at our altar. For over 170 years Trinity has served the spiritual needs of Episcopalians in our area. The parish is Eucharist-centered and utilizes the liturgical resources of the Book of Common Prayer, 1979 and the 1982 Hymnal of the Episcopal Church. Our worship service is “broad-church” in liturgical style, utilizing Rite II for the Eucharist.

As a congregation, we are dedicated to serving those in need. We do this through a variety of ways.  Trinity volunteers work and serve in our community soup kitchen and we reach out across the world through Kiva, providing financial resources to help people in developing countries. We are a small parish in the Diocese of Southwest Virginia, and our membership is  blessed with local folk as well as Episcopalians from all parts of the country. Nearby Smith Mountain Lake is a favored retirement area and brings to the parish a variety of people  from many walks of life – associated with government, military, industry, business professions and education. Lay involvement in parish life is strong and we have committed outreach programs, book studies, bluegrass concerts to celebrate our heritage and a range of other social and educational programs.

If you are visiting the area, or looking for a permanent church home, please join us for worship and fellowship. Weekly services are Sundays 10:30 AM.
